Lean Six Sigma
AI-Powered Lean Six Sigma
Lean Six Sigma for the way work is changing
GELRAD combines established Lean Six Sigma methods with AI to help people analyze problems, improve processes, and deliver change more effectively.
Participants learn the methodology while also learning where AI can accelerate the work, improve preparation and analysis, challenge thinking, and support stronger project outcomes.
Established methods, enhanced by new tools
Lean Six Sigma provides disciplined approaches for understanding processes, identifying causes, using evidence, and improving performance.
AI extends that work through research, preparation, analysis, synthesis, and challenge. Practitioners verify outputs, interpret evidence, and remain accountable for decisions and application.
| Lean Six Sigma discipline | AI can support |
|---|---|
| Define the problem | Explore context, draft problem statements, challenge scope |
| Understand customers | Synthesize qualitative input and identify themes |
| Map processes | Help organize observations and expose questions or gaps |
| Analyze data | Assist preparation, coding, interpretation, and exploration |
| Investigate root causes | Generate hypotheses and challenge assumptions |
| Develop solutions | Generate alternatives and compare options |
| Manage change | Prepare stakeholder analysis, communications, and engagement |
| Control and sustain | Support documentation, monitoring, and knowledge transfer |
Learn the method and learn how to work with AI
Participants develop two complementary capabilities:
AI-enabled practice
How to use AI in appropriate parts of the work.
AI is integrated throughout the learning experience rather than confined to an additional “AI module” at the end.
Examples: Participants use AI to prepare a SIPOC, critique a problem statement, organize Voice of the Customer information, generate hypotheses before analysis, review a stakeholder plan, or challenge a proposed solution.
Practitioners remain responsible for interpreting outputs and applying them to the actual problem and context.
This creates more time for higher-value interpretation, judgment, challenge, decisions, and stakeholder understanding.

Improvement succeeds when people adopt the change
When improvement efforts struggle to sustain results, weak stakeholder alignment, engagement, and adoption can be significant factors.
GELRAD incorporates Change Acceleration into belt development where relevant, including Yellow Belt, with stakeholder analysis, influence, communication, elevator pitches, and adoption planning adapted to the level and role.
